We value God's passion for worship
(John 4:23-24; Rev. 7:9-10; I Peter 2:9; Matt. 22:34-40).
So our number one audience is not the world or any other human being, but the God of the universe
who longs to be worshipped. We seek to be a community of worshippers that incorporates worship into
every facet of personal and community life.
We value God's passion for truth
(John 8:31-32; Gal. 2:14; Heb. 4:12; 2 Tim. 3:16-17).
So we seek to navigate the sea of relativity and meaninglessness and turn to the Bible for our
authoritative compass in a turbulent world. God's Word will be our reliable and empowering guide
in all matters of faith and practice.
We value God's passion for intimate relationship
(Is. 4:11; Jer. 31:33-34; John 14:23-24).
So we seek to transcend religious rituals to find intimate relationship in the
transforming presence of God.
We value God's passion for prayer
(2 Chron. 7:14; 1 Thess. 5:16-18; Luke 5:16; Eph. 4:16-20).
So we seek to go beyond self-sufficiency, and instead, actively depend on God in prayer and
earnestly listen to his voice. In doing so, we long to participate in His purposes through out the world.
We value God's passion for community
(I Cor. 12-14; Rom. 12:3-13; all the "one another" passages).
So we seek to move beyond isolation to be an authentic community that is transformed by Christ -- for
the sake of our spiritual health and for the sake of our witness to the world.
We value God's passion for freedom
(Luke 4:18-21; Matt. 28:18-20).
So we seek to transcend hopelessness and helplessness as we participate in the continuing Kingdom
ministry of Christ. We seek to be a place where people find emotional, physical, mental and spiritual
healing and freedom from their bondage to sin.
We value God's passion for leadership development
(2 Tim. 2:2; Eph. 4:11-16; I Cor. 12-14; the Jethro principle of Ex.18:17-26).
So we seek to go beyond spectator Christianity to identify, equip and release all potential leaders into
their God-given calling. We believe that this is Godís plan for fulfilling the Great Commission.
We value God's passion for the world
(John 3:16; Matt. 28:18-20; Rev. 7:9-12).
So we seek to move beyond complacency and an ingrown lethargy to spread the Gospel throughout
the Bay area and the world. We would especially like to accomplish this through the multiplication
of church-planting churches.
