About us:
A few tidbits about Baylight:
- we are mostly twenty to thirty somethings (singles and young families) but welcome all generations.
- we come to worship as we are, casually dressed and comfortable.
- our music reflects the current stylings of dave matthews, john mayer, U2, and switchfoot.
- we are mostly asian-american, but we welcome any person regardless of ethnicity/culture.
- we are a smaller church with big ideas and a big heart for the world.
- we strive to be culturally and socially relevant
- while we often have a more traditional, organized church gathering on Sunday mornings, we are open to new ways of expressing faith and spirituality corporately — be it skipping a “message” and spending more time in worship and prayer, having alternative worship time instead of the usual contemporary worship music set, and even skipping a Sunday here and there in order to develop relationships with people outside the church walls.
What you can expect on a Sunday morning:
- half an hour of contemporary, relevant worship
- a message about God’s surpassing greatness and power
- prayer for any of your needs
- safe and godly care and teaching for your children
- a warm welcome
- an openness and hunger to what God is wanting to do among us
