Portico This Sunday/No Gathering at MVA This Sunday 10/2

This Sunday, October 2nd, we’ll be getting together at Uesugi Farms in San Martin at 10AM for October’s Portico.  I should also note that because we’re getting together for Portico, we will not be gathering together at Mountain View Academy to worship together on the 2nd.  We’ll come back together at Mountain View Academy on October 9th.

Porticos are about people in our LTGs meeting our friends who don’t know Jesus with the hope that as they meet one another, it’d become easier for us to invite them to our LTGs.  It’s a simple way for us to be the light of the world together.

Be in prayer as you ask the Lord who you might invite to come with you.

Worship Service this Sunday at the Riekens’

This coming Sunday, the 25th, we will be getting together to worship the Lord at the Riekens’ home.  If you need directions or more info let me (Hideyo) know by email at hideyo@gmail.com.

No Church Gathering at MVA this Sunday 9/18

For those of you who are not coming with us to Camp Koinonia for our retreat, this announcement is for you!  We are not gathering for worship this Sunday the 18th at Mountain View Academy.

No Church Gathering at MVA This Sunday 9/4

This coming Sunday, September 4th is the first Sunday of the month and we will not be gathering at Mountain View Academy for worship.  Instead, it’s a Portico week.

Porticos are gatherings where we introduce people who don’t know Jesus to people in our church community.  It’s a way for others to see and participate in our one another life from a bit of a distance.  Porticos are the front porch to our LTGs.

I’ll be sharing more about Porticos and the bigger picture of where Baylight is headed the Sunday after, September 11th.

No Church Gathering This Sunday 8/7

Due to our “portico” this week, we won’t be getting together for worship this Sunday (tomorrow).

For future reference, “portico”s will be on the first Saturdays or Sundays of every month and we will not be gathering for corporate worship on those weekends.

For those of you who don’t know what porticos are or are just confused about them, most simply, porticos are events for you to introduce your church community to your not yet Christian friends/co-workers/family members. The hope is that relational connections will be made, making it easier to invite them to our LTGs (or Sundays or other church get togethers).
